This drawing was inspired by Darian Durant, one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever don the Green and White. Entering his tenth season with the Saskatchewan Roughriders, he was third in career passing yards, completions and touchdowns (within 2000 yards, 68 completions and 16 touchdowns of Kent Austin). His career Passer Rating of 88.7 is higher than both Kent Austin (81.0) and Ron Lancaster (72.4). He led the Riders into the Grey Cup 3 times, finally getting his just reward in 2013 after a truly incredible playoff and championship performance during which he completed 60 of 77 pass attempts (78%); throwing for 8 touchdowns and no interceptions. Durant's other achievements include:

  • Riders’ Wireless Age Player of the Year as voted by fans: 2009.

  • Threw 5 touchdowns on July 1, 2010 versus Montreal.

  • Threw for 500 yards on September 17, 2010 versus Calgary.

  • Led the league in passing yards with 5,542 in 2010.

  • Riders nominee for Most Outstanding Player: 2009 & 2010.

  • Led the league in touchdown passes with 31 in 2013.

  • Named West Division All-Star: 2009, 2013.
