This drawing was inspired by the proud history of the Toronto Maple Leafs and their strong fanbase.  The piece captures the feeling of being a Leafs fan on game day as fans walk toward both Maple Leaf Gardens (left) and the Air Canada Centre (right).  Ghosted in the sky above the two arenas are seven of the many great players that have captured the hearts of Leafs' fans since their inaugural season in 1917.  From left to right: Ted Kennedy with the Stanley Cup, Frank Mahovlich, Johnny Bower, Darryl Sittler, Wendel Clark, Doug Gilmour and Mats Sundin. Fan jersey numbers pay tribute to these players as well as many more of the greatest to ever don the blue and white.  Note that the fan wearing Tim Horton's number 7 is carrying a certain popular Canadian beverage.  The fan wearing Bill Barilko's number 5 is also sporting a "50 Mission Cap" as coined by the The Tragically Hip in their song of the same name. The fan wearing Ace Bailey's number 6 is also carrying a flag made to honour his contribution to the team.  The flag flying in front of Maple Leaf Gardens on the left bears the Leafs original logo while the flag flying in front of the Air Canada Centre on the right bears the team's current logo.  Carlton the Bear welcomes fans to the game. 

The Original Sized 18"x24" Limited Edition prints are individually signed and numbered out of ONLY 917 to commemorate the inaugural year of the Toronto Maple Leafs (1917).

The 12"x16" Limited Edition prints are individually signed and numbered out of ONLY 1917 to commemorate the inaugural year of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
